Note from the author regarding "coziness":
The Good and the Green deals heavily with the topics of death and grief. It does so in what I feel is a hopeful way, but I understand some readers will not find these topics "cozy" and would prefer not to engage with this type of content. I believe the short prologue does a good job of showing you what to expect later in the book if you're uncertain.

Death of family members, spouses, and friends prior to the events of the novel but mentioned frequently during the narrative
Trauma and situations that trigger trauma responses
Failed medical treatment and hospital/medical care
Child abuse described from the perspective of the victim as an adult
